Aylin Surkultay

Aylin Surkultay graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law in 1996, after completing her secondary education at the American Collegiate Institute in Izmir.

Between 1996 and 2015 she practised at Postacıoğlu Law Office, where she was a senior partner. She has been a founding partner of Soms Legal since 2015.

She advises on corporate and commercial law, foreign investment, banking and finance, tourism and hospitality law and international arbitration. She has represented hotel owners and operators in the franchise and management agreements of the world’s leading hotel chains in Turkey, and with this long experience is one of Turkey’s leading practitioners in tourism and hospitality law.

She attended the summer programme of the Comparative and International Law Institute at Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (1998) and ICC Paris seminars and workshops on international commercial arbitration and the preparation, administration and negotiation of international agreements (2000–2004).
